Care Management Services

History:

Ana provides Tier 4 residential 12 step treatment for those reliant on drugs, alcohol and gambling.

ANA sas been providing services in Portsmouth for the past ten years.  Begining small, The Organisation has grown to offer 30 Primary beds and 17 Secondary beds.  In January 2007, ANA relocated its Primary Treatment Service to Fleming House in Farlington, achieving CSCI registration as a Care Home the following May.

Current Activities:

ANA offers a twelve week abstinence based primary treatment for alcoholism and drug addiction. In addition we offer individually tailored detoxification programmes. Our aim is to help our clients rebuild their lives, to gain in confidence and self-worth and to really believe that they can live a healthy, responsible and productive life, free of addictive substances.

Our Programme is modular, flexible and features increasing levels of choice and opportunities for personal development as clients progress through. We recognise that every client has different needs and will move individually through treatment and into recovery.

ANA facilitates recovery through support and respect, working in collaboration with our clients. Care planning, group work and one to one key worker sessions all feature, together with a life skills programme, women & men’ groups, alternative therapies and optional secondary programme. Our programme combines a number of philosophies including the Twelve Step approach and is non-denominational in nature.

ANA runs Primary treatment from Fleming House in Farlington and Secondary treatment from Lyle House in Southsea. This configuration enables our clients to gradually experience life without drugs/alcohol in an everyday setting that is pro-actively managed to fully protect them at all times. ANA welcomes clients from all backgrounds and walks of life.

Future Plans:

ANA is currently working towards the accreditation of its Treatment Programme through The European Association of Treatment Agencies (EATA).  Further plans include expansion of the range of activities available across both programmes and an increase in Secondary Capacity.

SFT’s Floating Support Service provides generic housing related support for vulnerable people within our community.  Part of that service is delivered at Spotlight - an open access and drop in service.

The broad aims of our service is to provide housing related support that helps vulnerable people to remain in their homes, avoid eviction and homelessness, access other services on a needs lead basis. We also can enable people to engage in employment/further education and/or training.

Spotlight is located in a shop front service in West Street, Fareham.  The service support worker will be available twice a week for 2 hour sessions, Wednesday and Friday 12.00 noon to 2.00 pm.  There are additional hours available for anyone who may need support accessing other relevant services e.g. Landlords, Housing Departments, Benefits Agency and support through any court proceedings where eviction is a possible outcome.

To access this service you must be 16 or over, live in or have a local connection to either Fareham or Gosport areas. You may self-refer or be referred by a friend, family member or professional body.
