Referral route through Tier 2 services (Spotlight)
History
The Portsmouth City Teaching PCT Substance Misuse Service opened their
current Fareham base at the Avalon Centre in 1997, offering a range of
specialist interventions ranging from Assessment; Substitute
prescribing;
1:1 Counselling; Care management: Specialist Groupwork; and Referral
to detox (Baytrees) and Residential Rehabilitation Centres, and CARE
Psychosocial Counselling Interventions for people affected by
problematic drug and alcohol misuse.
Current Activities
We are delivering specialist treatment to people with a range of
social issues, based on inclusion and self directed provision.
The service is underpinned by a commitment to involving service users
and Carers at every level of service delivery.
Future Plans
The Triage service has been transferred to the voluntary sector
(Spotlight, which will enable the service to provide the highest
quality of treatment to its customers.
